From episode 12. Looks cute.
Episode 20. Eyes look way bigger and headband motif is subtlety different. It just looks like a different animator drew her. Perhaps they are rushing now to pump out episodes and the quality is going down in the animation. Thank goodness the story is so awesome I can overlook this.
So I went into Destiny 2 knowing nothing. No videos, no articles, no freaking idea what to expect.
Character selection was all right. Not the best but certainly not the worst. At least I wasn’t doomed to make a totally fugly face which always happens for me in Bioware games. This is my alien warlock or something.
It glitched a lot. I couldn’t tell at first if this water was a spell or hiccup. It turned out a major hiccup. Freezing to the point I had to crash game and reload and it happened multiple times.
I had fun at first and reached level 4. It started like a single player game but by lvl 4 there was a hub with other players who ran around like in MMORPGs. We fought on some planet together but I never really got the purpose of it other than shooting bad guys, which was alright in fun. But was there anything really to get me to go back….meh. Perhaps or perhaps not.
I was intrigued by the locations. It did look beautiful. This area made me think it would be how Highmountain in WoW’s Legion expansion would look like in a less cartoony world.
This vista was awesome.
And here is my character talking to an in game character that I fail to remember the name of or what group she belonged to. (Bad sign being so forgettable.)
If I go back and the game plays more like a single player I could stay but if it’s entirely sub par pvp then nah.
I bought two games as they were a great deal. But I still feel shame for buying more games when I haven’t played so many others yet.
First games is a delightful indie game called Towards the Pantheon. On sale for 75% off making it $2.24! I already started it and really like so far. The maker did the music also. The soundtrack is delightful. Look at the llama selling me wears. Kawaii desu!
The next game is Ken Follett’s The Pillars of the Earth. I’m pretty excited to play a game based on a book I read over 20 years ago. I loved the book but it’s been awhile so I know some minor plot points will still be fresh to me. The price is 60% off making it $17.59.
I decided to quick log into WoW just to get my anniversary gifts from the mailbox. But the thing that caught my eye was the Battle.net loader had a gift too of a free download of Destiny 2 for PC. So I’m downloading it now. What is kind of neat is that I know NOTHING about this game. Multiplayer, online, single player RPG…I don’t know but I don’t intend to read an iota about it before I play.
Let’s see how much I like it from a virgin standpoint. I’ll write my review in time.
I’ve learned a lesson from the last two expansions and that was to use the app to gain rep even though I’m not actually logging into BfA anymore due to boredom. I kick myself for not doing this during Legion. I didn’t achieve flying until the very end there since I dreaded the monotonous world quest rep grind.
Now I’ve been doing only rep missions for reps that I need for the Pathfinder Achievement. I expect when I log back in to have earned it. (whoop deedoo!) I’ve finally used up my resources so I’m done with Blizzard until the next patch comes out.

I was playing Gwent in beta. Quite a lot of it actually. I had worked hard for cards and even spent real money in game when they had a promotion. I stupidly thought that at least some of those cards would be saved. Logging back in since the new release was a real eye opener. The game looks quite different, I really thought it would look somewhat like the beta but boy was I wrong. The game went from three rows to two! I can’t understand why? Three rows was fine by me. So of course so many card mechanics changed for this.
I’m not giving up on Gwent and will grind again with this newer version but bugger if I had known it would have changed this much I would have skipped the beta and just learned on the two row board. And damn do I miss my cards….Birna Bran is completely different. From putting down a sea storm on an opponents row (which looked great graphically) it now just draws 2 and discards two.
Phillipa….where are you????? Why can’t I find your old card? I’m afraid to see what else is missing or changed.
I hope this new version will keep my interest piqued. I did prefer it to Hearthstone but alas only time will tell.
